Uncommonly purposeful poetry, here: yet also deft, light, ornate, strange, arresting; somehow both capricious and measured, joyful and worrying. And a controlling muscularity manhandles these delicate sounds, has them dart elegantly or otherwise about the middle air, set in filigree networks of malice, appraisal, stuff like that. Also conscripted into Lisette's tin-foil puppet-haunt are: secrecy, batteries, violence, clattering, salt, data-transfer protocols, sick, more salt, flypaper, and a sparrow. The sheer skill is downright startling. TLT
